This is a one-person site. It has no user accounts, no logins for readers, and it does not sell anything directly. Here is what it does collect.

Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages get read. It records things like the pages you open, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device and browser you use. Google sets cookies to do this. I use it to decide what to write next, not to identify individual readers.
Most browsers let you block these cookies, and browser or extension level tracking protection will stop the analytics script from loading. The site works fine without it.
The newsletter
If you subscribe, your email address is stored with Resend, the service that sends the newsletter. It is used to send you the newsletter and nothing else. I do not sell or rent the list.
Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email me at hello@218cultivation.com and ask me to remove your address, and I will.
Affiliate links and sponsored banners
Some links here are affiliate links, and some pages carry banner ads from affiliate networks. When you click one, the merchant or the network typically sets a cookie so a purchase can be credited back to this site. That happens on their systems under their privacy policies, not mine. Banner creatives are loaded from the ad network's servers, which means the network can see that a banner was displayed.

Embedded video
Video is embedded from YouTube using their privacy-enhanced domain, which means YouTube does not set its usual tracking cookies unless you actually play a video. Once you press play, YouTube's own terms and privacy policy apply.
Stored in your browser
If you dismiss a sponsored banner, that choice is saved in your browser's session storage so it stays hidden while that tab is open. It never leaves your device and is cleared when you close the tab.
What this site does not do
- No reader accounts, profiles, or passwords.
- No payments are taken on this site.
- No comment system, so nothing you write is stored here.
- I do not sell reader data.
